Paterson, NJ declares itself 'capital of Palestine' in US, rejecting massive MAGA 4X surge in city vote

Mayor surrenders poverty-stricken city to Jihad while its MAGA vote quadrupled from 8.8% in 2016 to more than 34% in 2024

Jihad has claimed another American city as radical Islam continues its conquest of the United States right before our very eyes.

Paterson, Jersey, however, didn’t surrender silently and secretly in a culture coup d’etat like the other cities around the nation that raised the “Banner of Jihad” with the aid of traitorous local and state officials.

City leaders in Paterson at least had the decency to stand up for their beliefs, as seen in a recent official public ceremony that Amy Mek, founder of the RAIR Foundation, posted yesterday on X.

"Paterson is the capital of Palestine in the United States of America,” declared Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh, as other city leaders, including what appear to be law-enforcement officers, gather around him.

He added: "Paterson is the fourth holiest city in the world: Jerusalem, Mecca, Medina, and then Paterson, New Jersey."

The power grab by radical Islamists and traitors in local government may be a reaction to local political trends.

Paterson voters appear to be rejecting the far-left policies that have ruled the city for decades and have embraced President Trump’s Make America Great Again movement.

Paterson is a former industrial powerhouse city on the Passaic River now stricken with economic and social decay. More than 25% of the population lives in poverty, according to the 2020 US Census.

Residents of the city have been complicit in their own victimhood for decades. The city’s decline in economic power coincides with its embrace of far-left policies.

Paterson voted 90% Democrat in the 2008, 2012 and 2016 presidential elections.

Yet in the space of just two election cycles, Paterson voters went from 8.8% support for Trump in 2016, according to the New Jersey Department of Elections, to 34.2% in 2024. It’s shocking change of political sentiment in a city that’s a magnet for immigrants.

Suffice it to say, Paterson’s proclamation as the “Capital of Palestine in the United States” does not reflect the surging Make America Great Again sentiment in the city.

If anything, Mayor Sayegh has declared war against the growing will of his own constituents.
