You’re better than this. He spoke Deutsch.

National Socialism auf deutsch Nationalsozialismus = Nazi

Volksgemeinschaft was his organizing principle in Mein Kampf mentioned 9 times but referenced extensively. Meaning the community or “nation” = blood of the people nationalism over the individual.

What would your definition of “national conservative” of the right vs. the original Burkean conservative or the neoliberalism of Reagan and Thatcher be? Context and words matter.

And Mo Brooks wants his poorly constructed thesis back.

Nazi was a masculine slang insult in German long before rabid socialist Hitler founded the far-left National Socialist German Workers' Party. It was used much like an American might call someone Jethro or Gomer to label someone a dim-witted hillbilly.

It was never used in any offiical capacity by HItler or other members of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, and if ever written or uttered it was only in some sort of passing reference.

The fact the letters ZI appear after NA in the middle of one of the words in a a name with more than 40 letters is not an uncommon occurrence in a language that utilizes Z far more often than English or any Romance langauge; and a convenient way to build an awkward acronym. Highly unusual construct. The letters ZI are not even in the samy syllable. In other words, the common explanation that most people learn in 2nd grade is bullshit. A convenient way to justify the rewriter of Hitler's far-left platform.

You can be damn sure that if it was called the National Conservative American Capitalists' Party, everybody would still now the full name. Much like if Abraham Lincoln was a Democrat, he would be known around the world today by the name "Democrat Presideent Abraham Lincoln."

Finally, if you care to address the substantive issues of the argument, not just the label of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, I invite you and anyone to explain how their socialist centralized goverment and economic, social and cultural policies are any different than a Bernie Sanders or AOC campaign speech and wish list.

Kerry and Goebbels have a lot in common now. I wonder why Josef used the vernacular so directly? Oh, it was to appeal to the working class. Just like the word socialist.
