Woke war on Redskins was never about mascots, it was always about a more terrifying ambition
Radicals spent 60 years and perhaps billions of bucks to replace high school helmet stickers
Cancel-culture radicals have spent nearly 60 years and, by some accounts, BILLIONS of dollars, attacking the Washington Redskins and almost any other organization displaying Native American words or images.
This video helps explain why it was never a war on team nicknames or mascots. It was always a war on the United States itself.
The effort to erase native heritage was led by the powerful, politically connected Marxist group National Congress of American Indians. The NCAI claimed that it forced about 1,400 organizations to erase from history Native names and images between 1968 and 2013. Many more, including the Redskins, have been cancelled since then.
Seems to be way too much time, money, energy and effort spent to get organizations, mostly small-town high school football teams, to change their helmet decals.
That’s because is was never about high school sports teams and never about the NFL Redskins.
It was always about destroying the multicultural foundations of the United States of America. And that video helps explain those foundations.
The Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, and many other American political traditions, were based upon Native political traditions.
Redskins outrage was cancel-culture con, ignited by group with cartoon-clown Native mascot
Most notably, the Iroquois Confederation and its Great Law of Peace. It was the world’s first constitution, uniting six long-time warring tribes in a federal system of government.
The Founding Fathers were deeply familiar with the Great Law of Peace. A delegation from the Iroquois Confederation, in fact, participated in the Second Continental Congress.
The Indian leaders spent a month in Philadelphia from May to June 1776 — even sleeping at Independence Hall!

The natives honored the president of the congress, John Hancock - it’s in the Congressional record! — before leaving the proceedings.
The Iroquois delegation parted Independence Hall on June 11. That same day a committee led by Thomas Jefferson was appointed to draft a Declaration of Independence.
The United States, in other words, is not just the result of traditions adopted from Classical Antiquity by educated men of the Enlightenment.
The United States, instead, is the result of multicultural traditions that combined European Enlightenment theory with Native political practices hundreds of years old. From this once-in-a-species cultural crucible of Old World and New World emerged a system of government that was, at the time, unique to the Americas.
The U.S. Constitution has proven the most durable system in the world for peaceful transfer of power, while inspiring constitutional-style government to replace hereditary monarchy as the global standard.
This dramatic evolution in human history emerged only because of the union of European and American minds.
Americans once knew this story, well into the 20th century. We have so much more to report on the topic. But it’s the reason why Native American images were considered patriotic images from the American Revolution through at least the 1960s.

But this multicultural foundation of the country conflicts with the modern Marxist woke narrative.
The radical left must portray the United States in a binary narrative of racist white European colonizers killing and enslaving native and docile people of color. It’s the same argument used to delegitimize Israel in the Middle East.
White oppressors and victims of color. Delegitimize the United States, destroy it, and remake it as a socialist utopia and/or Islamic caliphate.
This is not a conspiracy theory. It’s literally their goal. Violent socialist-Islamo-fascist groups such as National Students for Justice in Palestine claim this as their goal loud and proud.
The NSJP refuses to even mention the United States in its publications. They call it Turtle Island — a land stolen from natives of color by racist white colonizing Europeans.
The radical left must erase all evidence of multicultural foundations, and portray all natives as victims, to destroy the United States.
The administrators of Indian bureaucracy are no different than any other governmental organization in that they care not what their constituents want or what is in their best interests.
My Indian roll # is 5554 Aho!
Great article. WaPo in May 2016 had a large poll that showed 9 of 10 Native Americans had no issues with the name Redskins since they named themselves with that moniker. Ridiculous what happened afterwards and especially by extension to Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben. Honored icons from the past that kids grew up with only to be taken down for ridiculous and completely untrue reasons.
