The administrators of Indian bureaucracy are no different than any other governmental organization in that they care not what their constituents want or what is in their best interests.

My Indian roll # is 5554 Aho!

Great article. WaPo in May 2016 had a large poll that showed 9 of 10 Native Americans had no issues with the name Redskins since they named themselves with that moniker. Ridiculous what happened afterwards and especially by extension to Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben. Honored icons from the past that kids grew up with only to be taken down for ridiculous and completely untrue reasons.

Thanks for the kind words. Yes. I've cited that poll several times over the years. WaPo I believe did an earlier poll around 2008 with same results.

There have been a couple of others from reputable pollsters. I think the lowest was 88% natives in favor of keeping the Redskins. Students and parents at reservation high schools or other native-majority schools around the country have repeatedly voted against efforts to get rid of their Redskins name and image - the effforts almost always coming from white elitist Democrats.
